With “The Holy Ghost EP,” Snakeout find themselves wedged somewhere between the rhythmic experimentation of Angel Du$t and the pure punk rock spirit of Hot Water Music. Opening with a burst of aggravated energy, “Leaky Pipes” sets the stage for what the five song EP has to offer. Catchy melodies and bouncing riffs follow with tracks like “Caught by a Line” and a revamped version of the previously released single “Rot”. The band holds tight to its hardcore roots with aggressive vocals and the heavy hitting meter of “Internal Review” and the closing track “Plaque Candy.”
