Originally released as both a film, (directed and produced by Jean-Pierre Dutilleux) and album in 1985, 'The Rhythmatist' preceded the release of 'Graceland' by Paul Simon which was to follow in 1986
The album produced by Stewart along with Jeff Seitz, featured the singles 'Koteja (Oh Bolilla)' featuring Ray Lema a major figure in world music himself as well as 'Gong Rock'.
