CloseIndie Exclusive - Originally released in 1966, Psychedelic Moods by The Deep is widely regarded as one of the first albums to feature the word "psychedelic" in its title. Led by Greenwich Village folkie Rusty Evans and Brill Building songwriter Mark Barkan, the album brought together a talented cast of New York and Philadelphia session musicians, including guitarist David Bromberg and vibraphonist Vince Montana. Recorded in just two days at Philadelphia's Cameo-Parkway Studios, Psychedelic Moods remains a fascinating snapshot of psychedelia's formative years. This 60th anniversary edition is pressed on Eco-Mix orange vinyl, with each record featuring its own unique color variation, and includes an essay by Jim Allen examining the album's history and enduring legacy.
