About The Wildwoods:
The Wildwoods bring a pioneering sound to Americana Roots Music. Recently nominated by the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards as one of the best Americana/Folk bands in the area. Their heartwarming lyrics and vocals are rich in love and happiness, wrapped in a style of music that is like no other with influences from old time country masters and today’s Indie/Folk sound. People of all ages are drawn to their music. Mallory Gruben, from HC Media Online reported, “The Wildwoods seemed to face no obstacle in gaining the full attention of the audience, receiving a standing ovation by the end of their second set.” Andrew Stellman managing editor from Hear Nebraska wrote “There are perhaps few Nebraska acts that represent a merger of past and present quite like The Wildwoods, and if it’s taken you this long to notice, take the opening track of its new album Sweet Nostalgia. The young songwriting tandem of Chloe Pinkman and Noah Gose harmonize like something out of the Depression Era, fitted with a certain weight yet warmly and triumphantly capable of lifting hearts regardless.”
Talented songwriters, The Wildwoods song "Dance With Me" made the semi-finals in the 2016 International Songwriting competition. Two of their songs have also placed in the top 10 of the 2015 Omaha Performing Arts Songwriting Competition.
The Wildwoods will be sharing songs from their newest album “Sweet Nostalgia” This is what Live on Hear Nebraska FM had to say about it.
“That Sweet Nostalgia is the third release for this young five-piece folk act is alone admirable, were it not for the effortless charm and youthful whimsy they bring to classic Americana. The arm-in-arm camaraderie of “Loose Threads” bops and sways like a Randy Newman tune. “My Friend” swells with countryside imagery and ornate instrumentation, aided by the production prowess of ARC’s Ben Brodin. “Bedford Street” is a good old-fashioned hoe-down. And no matter how tearful or worrisome things seem, the turn is always hopeful: trust is endless, love is everlasting, the strings are always in tune and the sun is always shining. Sweet Nostalgia, indeed.”

About Justin Payne & Company:
Ohio's Justin Payne is a singer-songwriter that carries with him a troubadour's soul and a seasoned musician's skills. Whether its crafting a clever turn of phrase, lighting up the fingerboard of his guitar, or blowing wigs off with his soulful voice, he's got the goods. Justin has toured all over the United States with a fire burning in his soul, and has performed in many markets nation-wide. Intense, witty, and down-right incendiary, he sings his songs like they're the last ones he'll ever get to sing, pouring sweaty, passionate performances into his shows, and his heart's truth into his words.
Rafting: Rafting forges an eclectic collage of sounds. On .01ep, Eno-esque pads, thick bass and bright arpeggios provide the melodic backdrop for literary lyrics. - Mad Platinum
Hi-ker: "The songwriting is top-notch, replete with gorgeous melodies and lyrics that give purpose to the work as a whole... Do yourself a favor and listen to “Lippe” with headphones – it’s a deep dive for which it’s worth hearing every note." – Local Spins
Bliss Nova: Bliss Nova is a synth-pop two-piece from Toledo, OH, consisting of brothers Daniel and Joel Trzcinski. Originally just a bedroom-based side project, it soon became a more focused effort as the duo developed their dreamy dance-pop sound.
2018 finds Lou without obligations to his bands and ready to bring acoustic guitars and his extensive back-catalogue on the road for a series of intimate solo performances. Requests will be taken, stories will be told and Lou will be in the best setting to share the emotionally direct, melodic songs he’s known for.

You're going to want to make time for Culture Clash on April 21, 2018...
Stop by the store December 1st at 6pm to catch a night of experimental electronic music at Culture Clash!
Headlining the evening is Ensh, the minimalist artpop brainchild of Toronto/Belgrade based "cosmopolitan loner", Milenko
Vujosevic. While decidedly synth and sample driven, Ensh retains an immediacy uncommon to the genre with the rawness of Milenko's distinctive voice at the forefront. The music carves its own resolute niche alongside the roomy electronics of present-day innovators such as Björk and The Knife.
Head over to Ensh's website to check out more: http://www.enshmusic.com/
Supporting Ensh on the bill local acts Wave Garden and Rosebud. Wave Garden, the modular synth duo of Jordan Halsey and Caleb Miller, draws influence from the pioneering modular synth work of artists like Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk. Rosebud, the brainchild of Bone Folder frontman Ben Starrett, takes influence from heavier noise, molding a sound that will be familiar for fans of Pharmakon, Wolf Eyes, and Prurient.
As always, the show is FREE, BYOB, and DONATIONS are SUGGESTED for touring bands.

...And here are some FAQ's surrounding Black Friday releases that we can clear up for you:
Q: Can Culture Clash hold any releases for customers?
A: We cannot hold any releases on Black Friday. In the spirit of fairness and record hunting, Black Friday will be on a first-come, first-served basis. As always, let your fandom be your guide when planning on how early to show up to find the release you are looking for.
Q: What will Culture Clash have in stock?
A: We will try our best to stock the releases best suit our customer base, but we cannot guarantee that we will have any particular titles. That being said, we planned for a big day with our ordering, so chances are the title you are looking for will be there.
Q: Can I buy multiple copies of the same release?
A: We try to discourage buying multiple copies of the same release in order to encourage fairness in the spirit of what Record Store Day is all about. We want everyone to have a chance to pick up the release they've been looking for.
Q: What time should I show up?
A: Every year we tend to have a few dedicated fans camp overnight to be at the head of the line, but we know that isn't for everyone. The best bet here is to trust your gut and let your fandom be your guide; some releases sell out very quickly and others hang around for months, so it can be hard to predict if we will still have certain titles at certain points in the day. For those who brave the cold and wait in line for us to open up, we'll have Kombucha from Boochy Mama and coffee (while they last).
Stop by the store on Friday, November 17th from 6-8pm as we crank the amplifiers and up the noise with Dad & Steve and Daniken!
Making the trek from Albuquerque, New Mexico for a tour of the Midwest, Dad & Steve blend dirty blues, hard rock, and soul in their two-man garage rock assault. Head over to their Bandcamp to check out their awesome full-length Solid State.
Show is FREE, be sure to BYOB if you want to unwind, and DONATIONS are SUGGESTED for touring bands!
Join us this Sunday, November 12th as we welcome Detroit alt-rock legend Tyson Meade to Culture Clash!
Tyson Meade, the enigmatic and legendary frontman of 90s stalwarts the Chainsaw Kittens and Defenestration is back, this time releasing his fourth solo album on Detroit's Jett Plastic Recordings, Robbing The Nuclear Family. Cited as an influence of Kurt Cobain, Billy Corgan and The Flaming Lips, Meade founded the Chainsaw Kittens in 1989, soon getting signed to Atlantic Records for their critically acclaimed album Pop Heiress (1994). Now, with the help of his friends in the Flaming Lips, Meade has recorded an album with all of the integrity of his earlier rock work with further touches of glam and electronica.
Supporting Tyson and his band on the bill will be Toledo's own Dooley Wilson. A one time member of Henry and June and Boogaloosa Prayer, Dooley has built a stellar reputation locally and regionally on his faithful roots blues and slide guitar work.
As always, the show is FREE, BYOB, and DONATIONS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Be sure to stow away a little extra in the pocket for awesome merch!
ADVANCE BASE (Chicago, IL)
Advance Base is Owen Ashworth, the dude from Casiotone for the Painfully Alone.
Using a two handed arsenal of synthesizers, samplers, drum machines & looping pedals, Owen Ashworth builds minimalist, heavy-hearted, & nostalgia-obsessed electronic folk songs around his conversational, baritone vocals. The sound of Advance Base has been described as "lo-fi," "depressed" & "weirdly uplifting."
Advance Base's 2015 LP, Nephew in the Wild, was named #1 Indie Pop album of the year by PopMatters.
SOUND OF CERES (Fort Collins, CO)
Fire rises out of the lunar mountains; new Ceres in sound when I carry Karen Hover, Ryan Hover, Jacob Graham, Ben Phelan, and Derrick Bozich up to a peak and lay them down on the edge of a synthesizer.
An audio / visual experience with sounds ranging from 1960's exotica to majestic, synthesizer adorned, future horizons. Visual depictions of the greater cosmos utilizing lasers, fiber optics and other hand made mechanisms. Featuring members of Candy Claws, Apples in Stereo, and The Drums.
O(F)VERANDAS (Columbus, OH)
O(f)verandas is the solo experimental space project of Toledo native Bernard Iannone. Since 2010, he has been creating the improvisational guitar atmospheres of an otherworldly inner space, painting a shifty foundation with harmonic drones and nourishing them with emotive guitar motifs. A multimedia project, O(f)verandas music complements Iannone's work as a visual artist.
Join us at Culture Clash Records as we listen to Julien Baker's sophomore album Turn Out The Lights in its entirety on the eve of its release! We think Julien has such a unique and important voice in music - and at such a young age. We hope you'll spend some of your Thursday evening listening to this new album with us! Since it's also the last week of October, you can expect some treats and maybe even some spookiness!
